Been as the challenge is over Claire please pm me your new address if you want a rosette. I have a busy schedule atm so it may take a while to get it posted but I will definitely post one out.
Tintin can you confirm if your address is the same as previous years? Again might take a while to post but will definitely get it out.

Hi Tintin, hope all is well with you?
Although the challenge is officially finished I'll leave the thread open for a little while longer in case anyone needs a few more days to finish. I am my last book, The Hearts of Horses, a historical story. It's not grabbing me at the moment and I suspect I may lose interest and not finish it, but I'll persevere a little while longer.
Garej, thanks very much for organising the rosettes again. I will send you my parents address so you can post it there rather than Spain. Since Brexit, the post is pretty bad over here with some things getting stuck in customs for weeks. I'll pick up the rosette when I see my parents.

Thanks for leaving it open Claire. As ever i've been side tracked reading other stuff and not finished my list.
Hoofbeats by Catherine Rix is my star read Sole Possession by Gillian Baxter is still unfinished, it's not gripping me i'm afraid as i started it weeks ago and started something non horsey too, and read 2 more non horsey since.
The Highland Ghillie's Diary is another i didn't finish so neutral please. To be fair it was probably an interesting account but i'm not interested in the subject and they didn't seem to think much of the ponies, they appeared more of an inconvenience than anything else, and they were why i was reading it!
Small Gains never made it off the book shelf, maybe the winter read! I got another 3 month KU offer when i went to cancel hence reading lots of other stuff.

Hi Claire, I am only a few days over the official time limit! Yes, I have read all my books this year. Smilies for Sue Elaine Draws a Horse and Come to Grief, both really good reads, although Come to Grief I did find harrowing in parts. I am finding it hard to choose a star read as both Small Gains and Come to Grief were really excellent. Could I have a joint star for the two?

Well done Darkhorse. Thabnks for the update Haffy. I am a bit stuck on my last book. Not grabbing me at all. I'll give it one more try but then may give up.
As it's October already (!!!) it's time to start thinking about the spooky Halloween read! Where has the summer gone...?!

I'm not so bad apart from trouble with my teeth
Could I have smiley faces for:-
Three Jays Go to Rome
The best written of the 4 Three Jays books I have read, in fact so well written that it is not until you get to the end that you realise perhaps not a lot has really happened..
and:-
If I Could Ride
This latter one is looking like it will probably be the Star, despite its inconclusive ending - what my Granny would have called a "dirty ending". We need Book 4 (at least). Working Trot will have to be pretty stellar to beat it.

Fantastic Haffy! I didn't know about that. A bit out of the pony book loop lately due to the poor internet I have in Spain at the moment and also too busy with house stuff and rescued kittens! Possibly a future group read...? Thanks for the update Tintin. Funnily enough I am also having tooth problems, but that's not unusual for me. Hope you get sorted soon and aren't in too much pain.

Tintin your rosette went out today 2nd class. Apologies for the late despatch. A combination of other commitments plus ill health (I am disabled) meant that I had trouble getting to the post office sooner. I feel bad that I made you wait so long. Thankfully my ill health wasn't covid related but an long term condition of which there's no cure. If I didnt weigh so much I could ride under RDA.
