Just a question for Susan or any other American forum members - do/did Americans also have the custom of putting apples and oranges in stockings, along with other gifts, at Christmas? (Not that many people do that here any more!)

1. That Horse Whiskey by Carole Adler Never read it, though I see it often in ebay lots in the US....have to get around to it, as it's my favorite beverage
