Hi all, just a reminder that round 1 closes tomorrow so if anyone still would like to take part please get your answers in asap! (If you are really struggling to finish before the date let me know as I can extend it a few days - still have a few round 2 questions to think up!)
Also still need specialist subjects for a couple of people. So far we have:
Susan - National Velvet Darkhorse - Patricia Leitch, non-Jinny books Trixie - Jinny series Sarah - Showing Trilogy by Caroline Akrill Haffy ? Fizz ? Odonna ?

Is it too late to join?? I'd choose the Jill books as my specialist subject,or the Silver Brumby ones, and I can't get at them for weeks because they are under a stack of dog food!!

Hello, sorry I have been unable to access the forum even as a guest for a while. Could I also do Patricia Leitch books as a specialist subject?

That's fine Odonna. Round 1 is now closed, all the answers and the leading contender's positions can be found hereVery well done to all, especially Kunuma and Susan, closely vying for the top spot! I will be starting up round 2 in the next couple of days, so if you haven't already can you please finalise your specialist subject choice, thanks.

Lol Sarah. Considering the questions were quite hard everyone did pretty well. I dread to think how I'll do myself on the 'revenge' quiz!
I think I have everyone's specialist subjects sorted now so I'll get that thread up and running next. Then it will be time to organise the Summer Reading Challenge! Isn't time flying ?!!!

Thanks Susan, I am feeling much better now. I have finally got Round 2 up and running. Please everyone, make sure you have already swotted up on your subject BEFORE going to the thread! No peeking at the questions first lol. The closing date is 15th June so there's plenty of time to swot and get your answers in. The thread can be accessed below or from the forum home page. Hi all, well the offical deadline to have your answers in was today! But as we still have a few to come, I will extend it for a few days. Please though can you send them to me soon if you haven't already done so, so we can finish the comp and get on with organising the Summer Reading Challenge. Thanks folks!

Ooops...totally forgot to submit, just did so now!
The really shocking thing is that, in all the times I've read this book, I never noticed where in England it was set....now dying to find out!

No worries Haffy.
Have finally got all the points added up and have posted the results and the answers to the questions on the round 2 thread.
Congrats to Kunuma, who is this year's champ, and well done to Susan who was just pipped at the post and everyone else who took part. The standard was very high, especially round 2!
Now time to concentrate on the summer reading challenge!
