LOL Now i have yet another different computer - with the innards of my last one in it, and it's tying itself in knots - I have to use two different browsers just to read my emails! Someone has recommended Three Jays over the Border, now strangely that is the only Pat Smythe book I enjoyed, so that's one for the list!

I'm in for the summer reading challenge. My recommendation book is: We couldn't leave Dinah - Mary Treadgold, I read it years ago and loved it but now can't find it, so have just ordered another copy and am going to read it again as part of the challenge. For those that don't want to overload themselves this could count as a recommendation and a war horse story (2 for the price of one! ) Will post my titles a soon as i have finalised it, hope they arrive in time.

Okay can i recommend Pony Club Trek by JPT, which would also fall into authors who have died recently and the trekking story categories too.

Hi folks, if you have a book to recommend could you let us know in the next few days as I am going to set up the 2018 thread shortly.
Susan - no worries, glad you are keen. I just didn't want people worrying that they didn't have time to to get their lists in!

Not so much a recommendation, but a suggestion, the "Kit Hunter, Showjumper" series, be interested in others views. I did find the two I read enjoyable, but not quite sure about the show jumping bits, a discipline I know very, very little of
For a genuine recommendation "The Princess and the Foal" by Stacey Gregg, or - "Leopard - the story of my Horse" is delightful and very informative if you want a military horse book. It is short, but action packed

I did find the two I read enjoyable, but not quite sure about the show jumping bits, a discipline I know very, very little of I actually don't mind them - you have to take anything horsey with a pinch of salt or you'd be screaming and hurling the books against the wall but as adventure stories with horses they are okay. I also quite liked the Linda Craig books though - i often like what others don't and can't get into the popular stuff/Authors, eg i don't like Monica Edwards. And the Pat Smythe books, gosh they were dire although i kept them as i love the wrappers!
