Hi all, as we are starting a new year here is a quiz featuring all the months of the year. Each partial cover is from a book which is somehow related to a month: could be title, author, character or whatever! Some are straight-forward and some a little cryptic. Bonus points if you can work out what the link to the month is in the cryptic ones! Have fun. 1. THE BLOOD BAY COLT - NOVEMBER (BONFIRE NIGHT) 2. 3. A HORSE CALLED SEPTEMBER

Correct you two. I like some of CPT's books but I much prefer Josephine and Diana.

Pretty sure 4 is The January Queen by Joyce Stranger - but can't find my JS books to double check as they are all in the filing cabinet and I can't open the drawers when my back is having one of it's weeks!!

9 and 11 are both correct.
Have just thought our American friends will probably not work out the one for November, so you Brits will have to answer that one. (That's a slight clue)

5. Is Plenty of Ponies, so I'm fishing for a month name and thinking that the horses had weird names, one of them was called the Turk, there was a Delight and a Solomon and a Frosty - and I think another was called October.

1 is the Blood Bay Colt by Walter Farley, the colt is named Bonfire, Bonfire is for Guy Fawkes Day, so the book is November?

Well done all - yeah good old June Creswell is the month for Six Ponies.
I could actually have got 3 months in one book with the Cholly-Sawcutt girls in the Jill's series!
