Oh I'm really sorry to hear that Garej. My condolences. Just join in when you feel up to it.
Re. the film/book tie in - as there seems to be no preference for either I think I will leave the option open of doing either of them - or both if so desired.

Thanks Claire. I plan to start on Sunday as my concentration isn't as effected as much as I thought. I may be a little slow but I think I will be ok as long as I am careful with what I choose initially. I think that I will start with jill or felix. I haven't decided on what film tie in book yet so will have to decide on that at a later date. At the moment I have trouble deciding what to have for tea lol.

garej, I'm so sorry for your loss. I had two great-aunts, one on each side of the family, and they were two of my favorite people in the world. Hang in there....it takes time, but eventually all the good memories will be the ones that stick with you.
Re Milkman's Cob, I don't remember any particularly sad bits, but it's been a while since I read it....I'll have a thumb through it this weekend and post again with my findings!

I have done a huge order but a few are rereads which I have tried to avoid this year. I haven't decided on the film one - The Dick Francis is dearer but I read the black stallion as a child. I have gone for Claire's Peyton as I am not sure that I am in the mood to read Led by the Grey at the moment. I have very vivid memories of the real life incident and the aftermath and with the current situation somewhat reminiscent of the troubles I would have to be in the right mood.

May I add my condolences too. I was very fond of my various great aunts - great character all of them, and the one sole survivor who has just turned ninety. A remarkable generation. Most of mine were childless themselves and consequently liable to make a fuss of us.
I can only second Susan - nothing much helps when a loss is very new and raw but eventually the happy memories win out. In the mean time take good care of yourself and take your time.
