Do you/your parents etc, have any such individual language? I don't really have that at home, now. We used to call the tv remote sensor the magic eye, but think only at my grandparents' house as a child. Still vaguely think of the loo as bog because that was the school term, related to the nasty bogwash where your head was shoved down. My dad used to talk about slippy mucky brew/other Lancashire terms I don't understand.

We have quite a few words/expressions common to the North East of England which some southern folk may not know. However I do tend to make my own words up for things and give my own names to local places. Its quite fun as its almost like having your own little language which only you and a few friends and family members know about.
oh yes and I do tend to swap British words for German or Spanish ones sometimes, especially if they're funnier. I used to call my mum mutti I think it slightly annoyed her lol.
