Yes, only been living in my "new" house a couple of weeks, and I've already managed to get another cat in here! Lenny was one of the infamous "garden cats" that hung out in my back garden from November onwards. I picked him up one day and found he was literally COVERED in mats and knots, so I decided to get him to the vets to get the worst of them off - and then take him home. So now, he's currently hiding behind the pasting table in the living room....!

He's a stunner. Well done in looking after him Daren. Its amazing how many people dont realise you have to groom long haired cats! There's a neighbourhood cat round mine that I regularly have to detangle and cut out some of the knots. Not easy as he is a bit of a psycho at times! (Coincidentally he looks very similar to Lenny)

Lenny is gorgeous. Last time I saw a neglected long haired cat, she had had to be shaved. She did look peculiar with her head and tail still fluffy and the rest of her close clipped. Her fur grew back and her owners learnt to keep her in good nick.

Thanks folks. I'm not sure Missy is very happy with the new arrangement - hopefully she'll come round...

Well in my experience they normally at least put up with the interloping cat even if they never become actual friends. I bet Missy will be the boss tho!

He is a stunner! Well done for taking him on and sorting him out, even though Missy isn't happy about it!

He looks lovely, good that you look Lenny on. There's a somewhat similar (probably overweight) black and white cat round here (slightly shorter hair). Not seen him recently.

Well, my tenure as Lenny's owner was short-lived - the wee dude somehow escaped at some point last night, and has gone back to where he feels "safe": my mum's back garden! Still, he's safe at least.

That's a huge Elizabethan ruff he's got! As you say at least he is where he feels safe

Aww sorry he's gone but if he feels secure there maybe its best for the moment. Maybe when he gets more confidence you can try him again inside.

On the plus side, he's forgiven me for taking him away from his pals - he came straight out to me in the garden when I popped into mum's on the way home.
