Hi all, apologies but due to the problems with my cat and trying to catch up on work missed by vet visits nearly every day I will not have time to organise an on-line Christmas party this year. I will still try and set a few Christmas themed quizzes and we can do a Christmas reading circle book. Also we can set a date for some of us to meet up in the chat room as we normally do. Plus feel free to add any quizzes or other festive bits and pieces of your own in the quiz/fun stuff sections so that we still have something of a festive feel.

Oh, goody, I don't have to worry about embarrassing myself with riding photos for the gymkhana this year!
lol
We'll be fine, Claire. Let's do have the chat meetup for sure though, like you said.

Don't worry about it Claire - I'm even less into Christmas than I usually am this year (and you wouldn't think that would be possible lol)is it me, or is this country getting obsessive about things - used to be the twelve days of Christmas, now the radio has been playing Christmas records for the past two weeks, and the adult DJ's keep leaping about and saying ooooh it's nearly Christmas like they are about 6, or like they think the listeners are!!
I'd love buying gifts if it wasn't for the fact that the money comes out of my food as I wouldn't cut the animals food down, but in all honesty as far as Christmas goes, just call me Scrooge. Plus each year we all hope it will be better next year, and it's always WORSE, so they can keep the whole New Year thing too!! Roll on Spring!
I'm just glad Rosie will be here for Christmas - that's the best news possible!

Don't even think about it, Claire....just hug your kitty and your family and let the rest go this year...that's the important stuff!

I enjoy the on-line party each year, but I echo what everyone has said. You have had such a lot on your plate. Just try and relax with Rosie over Christmas. I might even attempt a Christmas quiz myself if I have time! (Before the school holidays of course)

Thanks all. I will miss the party as we've had one for the last 5 years in a row! But it is very time consuming to organise and I'm so behind with real life Christmas preparations. I'll definitely manage to fit in a few Christmas quizzes and I might even write a sequel to the Pumbles adventure I wrote last Christmas.
Does anyone have any preferances re. dates for a meet up on the chat room? I was thinking possibly Friday 19th and/or Saturday 20th from about 6pm (UK time) to late, which would mean Saturday or Sunday morning for the Aussies amongst us and later afternoon to early evening for the Americans. (If I have my time differences correct!)

As said no need to apologise, ui'm sure we can all contribute something rather than you carrying the load...plus that way you get to join in a bit more if you have time.
