No, certainly not too late Fizz. Anyone can join in right up to the eve of the general knowledge round (1st Nov) as long as you know what specialist subject you are doing so I'll have a chance to do the questions.

Hi, if it's not far too late i'd like to join in too. If it makes things easier, and is possible for two people to choose same subject, the woodbry books would be good by me too.

Hi haffy no its certainly not too late. But altho its fine for 2 people to have the same specialist subject you actually did the Woodbury series as your specialist subject in the 2010 Mastermind! So you'll need to pick a new one for this time.

haha, well there had to be something behind actually winning! Erm what about Black loch or Jump to the top or would you prefer me to choose an author or series? If so i'm pretty sure i did eventers trilogy, maybe last year but could reread Km peytons fly by night/the team (and any others linked to these if specified).

Any of those will be fine haffy. Lots of people are doing single books so no need to choose a series unless you really want to. Just let me know in the next few days.
A reminder to everyone - the general knowledge round starts tomorrow, altho you will have a week to send your answers in. Full instructions will be on the actual thread.

Any time frame for the specialist round, Claire? Trying to decide if I should read Wild Pony (for the November reading circle) or Sweet Running Filly (for the comp) next!

Any time frame for the specialist round, Claire? Lets say we'll have a week between the end of round 1 and the beginning of round 2. So round 2 will begin on 14th November. This should give everyone plenty of time to swot up!

Hope you are feeling better kunuma thanks for sending in the answers.
As kunuma pointed out no. 12 appears to be missing. Not sure what happened to it!
Trixie, we haven't had all the answers in yet but you were just behind Rosie at the last count. Most people are quite close together in terns of scores.
If you haven't sent in your answers yet please can you try and do so by the weekend.

I sour no 12 not shore why I never said about it. You were probably too tactful Trixiepony - unlike some people lol Thanks everyone for your answers. We have all in for round 1 now. I'll work out the positions and post them together with the full answers on the Round 1 thread later on today. Apologies if the questions were hard, as I said to vera, must have been in a nasty mood when I set them lol. Well done to everyone, most people are very close together in terms of points so make sure you all swot up on your specialist subject for next week!

Well done everyone Just out of a matter of interest what was the missing number 12 question Claire? Don't ask me I just set the bloomin thing lol! Actually I think I just missed it out completely rather than accidentally deleting an original no. 12 question. Now the competition wouldn't be the same without one of my deliberate mistakes would it...?

Hi all, just to say I may not get round 2 up and running until Saturday as a bit behind due to having had no sleep for almost a week after Rosie's op. Brain has only been working a couple of days (as much as it ever does).

Well I've done all the questions but the Silver Brumby and Woodbury series ones. I may pinch some of the questions from the 2010 contest for the latter, as Haffy did it for her specialist subject then.
You may all be pleased to know that there are only 15 questions in round 2.
