Belgians Clydies Clydesdales!! Baron - ex-ILPH and now owned by Glasgow City Council. He's won tons of stuff! Floppy lip Grey shire This is, hands down, the BIGGEST horse I've ever seen!! 19.2hh! There were three Belgians at the show that were over 19hh. Just to show you how big they are: Another very big Clydesdale - this time owned by my friend Tom Tennant Sleepy baby Another sleepy baby!

Wow love that 19.2 chestnut with the flaxen mane - do you have any more info on him?

Can't recall off the top of my head now who owned him, but I seem to recall he's of Canadian origin. Oh, and his owner won the turn-out competition, too.
There were two 19.2s there - the smaller ones were at least around the 18hh mark!

Those Clydesdales look enormous, presumably a big breed! I had some trips to the Highland Show in the 90s, went to a boarding school in Scotland. Don't remember any horses or much about it at all, except lots of free samples of food etc, getting lost and separated from everyone else. I did go riding at a local centre at school, but dropped it after a couple of years. Was never any good, don't think I even really got beyond trotting. It was nice though, at least going for a trek. Found the practice exercises rather tedious.

Charlotte - what boarding school did you go to?
Your average Clydesdale is around the 17.2hh mark. That's big for most people! I used to ride one at that height, then went on to ride a bigger one...!

Ah, I thought maybe you'd gone to a school in Edinburgh or Musselburgh!
