Thanks for the link - I know a certain someone who'll be drooling over these horses! And the black percheron is stunning!

Right, where do I join up?! Seriously, though, thanks for sharing that. Great to see heavy horses in action, albeit in a somewhat different role! Funnily enough, I went to watch one of the Hunter and Lass parades a couple of years ago and, lo and behold, there was a Clydesdale police horse! OK, so his feather had been taken off and his mane almost hogged completely, but it was DEFINITELY a Clydie!

Oddest thing - all this talk about people riding heavy horses and I saw an advert yesterday locally for what appeared to be heavy horse pony trekking!! The mind boggles as I used to have enough problems getting the grockles tourists back on the normal sized horses and ponies after lunch - I can't imagine how I'd ever have got them back up on a clydesdale! Edited because I have actually found the advert on the internet!! www.adventureclydesdale.com/

I know Tim who runs Adventure Clydesdale - nice bloke, good horseman, and a real passion for heavy horses.
Coincidentally, I also know Annie Rose, who runs Cumbrian Heavy Horses, who was Tim's partner back in the day!
It was, I believe, originally a throwaway comment from Tim that led to the epic Clydesdale Migration from the Isle of Skye to Millom back in 2006!!
