Zoe, your too new a member to have had the whole saga ;D but I sold my house with its gorgeous garden in Feb. Trouble is it all fell through with the house I was buying so spent 4 months at my parents then moved to a rented cottage which has no garden. Whats more I found out that the new owners of my old house have dug up the entire garden I love foxgloves too, one of my fav flowrers, I like old fashoined slightly wild cottage type gardens which was exactly what mine was. Also they are easier to look after!

Bit of a poser he is Its so hard to keep him still! Well I got him at 8 weeks and hes probaly about 13 weeks atm and it was taken at probaly about 11-12 weeks I think. The other dogs are getting pretty sick of him wanting to play 24/7. He ran off with my mobile a min ago, and obviously once i want something off him he thinks its a game!

I agree with Claire that you never get bored of looking at photos of other people's pets- especially horses- in fact I've been doing just that instead of writing a job application. I haven't applied for that many seriously since finishing uni-I only was keen about 2 of them- but it's starting to get me down that I didn't get them and I'm losing my drive. I can now understand why people end up as 'long term unemployed', so I guess I've got something out of it; greater empathy and tolerance!
Keep posting those pics you guys! The UK ones make me determined to visit and I'll need a job to get the $ so you are actually performing a public service!

Thankyou Zoe; especially love the snow ponies one! I'll think of that pic tomorrow when I'm sweating away trying to get 8 horses groomed before 10am, or poo picking in the afternoon sun... hate the warm weather, and it gets over 35 degrees celcius regularly in the depths of summer. YUK!

I hate the cold weather I wish we could swap. I have terrible circulation and winter is a nightmare for me. Once I even got frostbite standing in a queue waiting for a taxi one night! But I will happily send you lots of photos of the snow when it comes Good luck with the job hunting. I remember having a similar time when I left uni trying to get a job, but you will get there! I LOVE these pics more please evrybody. Mysteryarab that pic is fab I am sure you could win a photo comp with it!

I don't mind coldweather, it's wet weather that does my head in. Poor you Claire, my friend had bad circulation and in the winter her hands went blue all the time. Cally, poo picking is such a necessary evil, my friend sent me this picture and it made me smile;

Has anyone ever used one of those grooming vacuum cleaners? I fantasise about them sometimes- I will be in about 1 hour 15 mins time when I'm off to the RDA to start work- YIPPEE! 6 hours of luvverly horses and ponies!!!

Whilst rooting through photos at my parents I found treasure! and I thought I'd share it with you all - but before you get too excited here it is: This is Merrylegs my childhood pony and I didn't think any photos of her existed, I'm so happy to have found it. I got Merrylegs when I was about 8, she was in her early 20's and wasn't a novice ride - when I first got her I spent more time on the floor than riding, she knew all the tricks but her fav was tanking off and going under a low branch so I got knocked off. Eventually I could control her although her brakes were never very good and we had years of fun together,she was the best equine I have met so-far. Unfortunately when I was about 16 Merrylegs had to be put down because some do - gooders thought we were cruel putting a muzzle on her (she was porky and prone to laminitis ) so they fed her grass cuttings - god knows how much or what else, we found remains of the clippings - she got ill and had to be put down. I was gutted, she was so full of life even though she was nearly 30 she had plenty of years ahead of her. I really appreciate having had Merrylegs for a teacher as a kid - she taught me loads and was a great friend.

Omg she is gorgous!I know just what you mean. My first pony was absolutly beautiful, but completly nuts. She threw me off many a time, God knows how I didnt kill myself. I was only 2-3ish at the time, but as I got older I learnt to wrap my legs around her. She lasted me a fair bit until she was sold to be a broodmare But that was only the start... I also have exciting news... I may be getting a new horse/pony But not for a while due to GCSE's... roll on summer!

Lovely pony - I just love that colour! Have found a few more pet pics while I have been looking thru some old photos for pics for the party. Thought I'd post them: This is Flash, one of the Welsh ponies I used to ride on the farm in Wales as a child, with one of her foals. She was a little horror and I bore the scars of many bites and kicks from her! This is my old cat Murphy. I was still a teenager living with my parents when we got him. He stayed with my mum and dad when I left home and died about 5 years ago. And especially for rodent lover Kunuma, my old hamster Snoopy and one of my gerbils. Dont know which one it was as I had loads and they all kinda looked alike!

Awww - bless 'em! I'm sharing my bathroom with the guinea pigs at the moment, they have come in out of the frost and it's the only room free of possible predators!! (VERY small house!)

No picture, but I spent $300 getting a non cancerous tumour removed from my duck the day before Xmas eve. So you'll have to imagine a Muscovy without an ugly tumour under it's wing, who is 11 years old and isn't getting any Christmas presents.
