I'm not having computer troubles - the computer IS the trouble! ;D
If I left anyone's questions off please tell me, as I'll swear some went missing in all my to'ing and fro'ing with the copy and paste - I started off with over 20 and suddenly only had 17 - had to panic to Rosie to do some extra ones - thanks Rosie!

Well, I have to say these are tough questions! I think they would be challenging even if the test were "open book," because I think they would require some digging, but to have to know them off the top of one's head -- all I can say is, Good luck, Claire! and wow, you guys are tough taskmasters! to the quiz authors! You must have been feeling very bloodthirsty after taking the Mastermind challenge yourselves!

Thanks rallycairn I totally agree with that statement! ;D I know a few, haven't a clue over quite a few other and some will have to be guesses. A couple I know I know (great English or what!) but my superannuated memory is letting me down. Glad I re-read my review of White Poles the other day cos it's helped me with one question at least. Kunuma should I send you my answers or just post them on the thread?

Claire I will email you the answers and the specialist ones for the next bit. Have to go and find the answers to the spaniel one, serves me right, that was my question and I can't remember what books it was in either!! I'm hoping it was Blackbirds Ride a Mystery Trail for the Springer dog, think Phillipa Springer! and the otherI'm pretty sure was what's her face trying to raise the money to buy Amber in I Had Two Ponies.
Velvet and Plush belonged to Rough and Tough, Georgie's brothers!!

I'll have to try and find Ponies in Peril again for the specialist questions. Started to read it when coming down with the lurgy and then it must have got buried under a mountain of paper hankies and cough medicine. Or worse my mum tidied it away when she came round - in which case I'll never see it again! ;D

Well folks I managed to get 15 correct so at least I didnt disgrace myself! In a way I was quite lucky with some of the questions as I had just bought a copy of The Joker and Jerry so had been looking at the pics and also just been looking at my review of White Poles. The first question I knew as I have the book and it has a prominent cover which stares at me from the bookshelves every day. Some of my guesses came off right too. I'll post the answers when I have a spare mo to save kunuma tying herself in knots.
Just read the Ponies in Peril questions which I will put on below - who the heck did these - was it haffy? They are bloody hard! I don't feel so guilty now as I think I am probably a lot kinder than you 'orrible lot!

Just read the Ponies in Peril questions which I will put on below - who the heck did these - was it haffy? They are bloody hard! why was it my name cropped up in connection with being evil i'd like to know Claire ;D Lol actually it was just cos I seem to remember you saying you had a copy of the book! ;D Anyway folks you can judge whether they were being evil or not as here are the specialist subject questions: Claire's Specialist Subject - Ponies in Peril by DPT (or should that be Claire in Peril......) 1) The six ponies heads are beautifully drawn in the front of this one but which pony sits at the very top of the page? 2) On what day and what time did they arrange for the photographer from the local paper to come and take pictures of the ponies? 3) What was the full name of the first person to come and try out the ponies? 4) One of the ponies was given an unusual (non standard) height in the book....which one and how tall was he/she? 5) Who suggested the names Snooker and Snap? 6) School finished at 3.15 but what time did sandy and fegus usually get home? 7) What would Sandy and Fergus's Dad say he would sell if it was a matter of their life or death? 8) Sandy had a namesake - who was it? 9) What sort of car did the photographer from the newspaper drive? 10) Where was Hopscotch's favourite napping place? 11) Where did the name Leerie come from? 12) Who else did the old man say found spiders useful? 13) What sort of wine was their mother planning to make? 14) What was Sandy singing just before she fell off Solitaire? 15) Name five of Mrs Wellbeloved's cats.

5) Who suggested the names Snooker and Snap? THE REPORTER LIZ

9) What sort of car did the photographer from the newspaper drive? VOLVO?
10) Where was Hopscotch's favourite napping place? DON'T KNOW BUT I DO REMEMBER HE WAS THE FAV NAPPING PLACE OF THE CAT! (surely worth half a point lol)
