I will sign it, but I have a feeling the F.E.I. will be loathe to enforce the rules due to the fact that some 'top' riders are using it.

Under the Animals Act 1911 (I am sorry I can't remember the section) it is an offence to over ride, over load or over bear a horse.
The dressage rider who caused his horse's tongue to go blue would, had he been a carter in Liverpool in the days when horses were a common working animal, almost certainly had his name taken if it had been seen by a Constable.

Yeah poor Anna Sewell would be turning in her grave - all that work to get rid of bearing reins and they are back in a slightly different form - but still for the same purpose - to make horses 'look smarter' Human nature never changes

I found it hard to believe the silver medallist was not placed lower in the order. her horse showed signs of resistance in the test & there is a picture posted on Facebook (I think it's a TV still) of Parzival's tongue which had a blue tinge to it. As the horse was inspected after the test I am surprised it wasn't noticed, especially as she had been eliminated at an earlier competition on welfare grounds. You would think officials would have been watching out.

Yes there has been some bad publicity over the sport in the Olympics due to this and other pics taken of horses warming up showing hyperflexion. What was that link you sent me kunuma?
