Well done the GB team for taking gold in the show-jumping....
...especially the guy from my neck of the woods, Scott Brash!

I know I've been a bit grouchy about the olympics this year but I am still really pleased for them, especially Nick Skelton who was jumping back when I was a kid!

Yes, I had posters of Nick Skelton and Mary King on my wall when I was young so it's amazing to see them still riding so well. I was at the cross country and dressage last week- will post pics when I have a chance. It was AWESOME.

I still can't quite believe it! Amazing. Fingers crossed for another gold later today then maybe, just maybe individual honors on Wed/Thurs too.

Here are some of my pics from the cross country day of the Eventing in Greenwich Park (fabulous venue): I was really hoping a horse would chuck its rider and start feasting on this fence! The Sun Dials fence, where they jumped over the Meridian line. Overview of the arena jumps Charging towards the water there were a lot of fallers, so riders on the course were delayed- meaning Mary King stopped right in front of us! Mary jumping the Playground fence the Tales From The Riverbank fence- I think you can just see Badger's head! Ratty and Moley look on The Moon fence Jumping over the moon the Planet fence Sit up!!! I had an amazing day, and the roar for the British riders was fantastic. I also went to the dressage on the second preliminary day, meaning I saw Charlotte Dujardin. That horse Valegro is seriously awesome- just floated across the ground. My little camera died that day, so I have to get copies from my friend's big proper one.

Brilliant pics foxglove. I watched some of the eventing and showjumping on the TV. How lucky Mary King stopped by you, frustrating for her though! She did a brilliant round I thoroughly enjoyed going to the dressage. As you said the atmosphere was fantastic. I saw Charlotte Dujardin and agree Valegro is seriously awesome. Here's a pic I took of them after they'd got their medal Attachments:

Cloistered in the lounge room for the day as a new floor is laid in the kitchen-banging, power tools- a nightmare. Anyhoo, the Global Champions Tour was on and Nick Skelton wasn't holding the reins correctly: he didn't run it through his ring and pinkie finger, but just held on 'ham fistedly' on a horse that looked very difficult to control. Not a pleasant sight.
