I agree with you. I hate the RSPCA and they have done nothing but confirm my hatred. My 3 cats would be dead in their hands. At least they live.

Glad I decided to keep Rosie as my dad was going to take her to the RSPCA as the usual cat shelter we took ferals and strays to was full. Now I know that as garej said she may have ended up dead with them. They are a disgrace to animal welfare. The RSPCA do put down feral cats routinely. The Cats Protection do not; they trap neuter and release back to site. The only exception is if the animal tested positive for FIV/FELV or has something wrong with it that is beyond a simple cure (for example a broken leg, or is blind). That is how my Eric was discovered (he was living with a feral colony, and when neutered they found out he was far too friendly to be a feral) and as consequence of them thinking he was a feral, he has part of his ear missing (they tip one ear to show that they have neutered a feral). So if they had hold of my Eric he would have been PTS because of them thinking he was a feral instead of enjoying the comforts of my home. I passed by yesterday an RSPCA fundraising stall and flatly refused to give a donation. I would rather have a dirty look than give them my money.
