I found this book interesting and not at all what I was expecting. My toes did curl at some cringe-making moments when Susan is patronisingly told that although girls work just as hard as boys in racing stables it’s not a good career move as there are no prospects for girls to climb up the ladder in the racing world. And I thought it rather odd that when Susan and her business partner do finally open their own Riding Stables they don’t like employing grooms that aren’t attractive as it isn’t good for business! A lot was made about girls mustn’t let themselves go and become horse bores and dress like old frumps! There’s actually a bit of romance in it and Susan has two boyfriends on the go at once. When out driving with boyfriend number one he puts his hand on her knee and asks her if she is happy. I bet she is, stringing two blokes along at once LOL! ;D I think that some of the story is a bit in fantasy world as Susan’s parents buy her a Riding Stables which of course not everyone could afford to do. But it does give good practical advice on how to set about starting a horse career woven into a good little story for the most part. Having said all that I did really enjoy it as it took me down memory lane to when I trained for my BHS exams and worked with horses. Sadly my parents didn't buy me a stables but hey ho

Sounds quite a good read, I do like reading about girls running their own stables - it used to be my dream as a horsy kiddiwink. Unfortunately this book is quite a hard one to find.
