PONY BOOK TITLE SCAVENGER HUNT
Hi folks as I am going away for the next few days and wont have much time to update anything, I thought I'd leave you with a quiz which doesn't need answers.
RULES: Its similar to the scavenger hunt haffy did but instead of covers all you need are the titles of books. The winner is the person who finds the nearest to all 20 items. (You only need to find one book corresponding to each item). In the event of tie-breaks the most original, funny or downright weird title wins!
Can you find pony books with the following items in their title:
1. A FOOD ITEM
2. A PRECIOUS STONE OR JEWEL
3. A FLOWER
4. A MYTHICAL BEAST OTHER THAN A UNICORN OR DRAGON
5. AN ITEM OF CLOTHING
6. AN INSECT
7. A NUMBER MORE THAN TEN
8. SOMETHING RELATING TO AUTUMN
9. A PART OF A HORSE'S ANATOMY
10. A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
11. SOMETHING BEGINNING WITH X
12. AN ASIAN COUNTRY
13. SOMETHING COLD
14. SOMETHING HOT
15. THREE WORDS BEGINNING WITH 'F'
16. AN EXAMPLE OF ALLITERATION (at least 3 words)
17. A GAME THAT IS NOT HORSE RELATED
18. A TREE OTHER THAN A CHESTNUT
19. A NON-HORSE RELATED PROFESSION
20. A RUDE WORD!
NB - you may want to copy and paste the list somewhere so you can keep a record of what you manage to find.

20. A RUDE WORD! (ooh dying to know which ones you know of Does it have to be titles or can Authors count - Joan Wanklyn if so) Ooh haffy! ;D Actually I don't know any myself...I just thought I'd like to find out if there were any! ;D ;D ;D I've noticed you put the date on yours haffy. You needn't be too strict about the one at a time thing with this one, as long as people don't come on with a whole list at once, its fine just to keep adding one each time you pop on the forum. BTW forgot to say authors dont count it must be titles.

Rosie, just been checking your answers and I'm afraid Flying Start can't be counted for an insect Hope we'll get some more entrants in this quiz! I know a couple of people have been away (including moi!) and others may have missed it due to people modifying their original posts rather than adding new posts.

Claire how strict is the alliterative title one? Do titles such as 'Junior jumper' qualify or are you looking for 3 or more words

We'll say 3 or more words for the alliteration one (I'll add to original post) as 2 could be more of a coincidence than alliteration! ;D Also words must be the actual word & not included in another word ie) Flying does not count as fly and Indian doesn't count as India. Sorry folks dont want to make it too easy
