Not all sorted yet - but I may be the proud 'keeper' of my favourite pony from 'the good old days'. The owner of the stables I used to work at is having to cut back due to ill health (and bossy sons). The pony I broke in and used to ride is not used in the school very much so she has asked if I want to have her and pay the cost of her keep. My friend will keep her in her field (free grazing) and I will pay for blacksmith/worming etc. She is 24 and able to be ridden still, just has stopped enjoying being a riding school pony. Only trouble is my friend lives about an hour away - so it will be weekend and holiday visits only. Still hoping it happens though! So - no more book buying for me! Probably not a good idea financially - but I am going to let my heart rule my head!!! Photos from the past: More recent - last couple of years:

She looks like she was a proper "lepper" in her day- what's her name? It's great that she'll spend her semi-retirement with an old fan.

Thats fantastic Sarah, hope it comes off. She's still a very pretty girl, looking good for her age (if only all of us could say the same lol)
Maybe its time to move house.....a bit nearer to her paddock ;D ;D ;D

Her name is Fizzy (short for Bucks Fizz). She was great at jumping (Well taught - obviously)!!! Just kidding. I've had a browse of teaching jobs nearer that way in the past but nothing good has come up yet. Some photos from last weekend (the move is next weekend).

Aaahhh! Bucks Fizz is a great name for a dun or palomino.

Fizzy in her new field - very happy! Getting ready for a little ride (bareback - gulp): After the ride - "thank-you that was fun" (and sorry you nearly fell off when I shied at the dog jumping out of the hedge)!
