Thanks for these garej, I think the last one however may be a book of gay stories - not sure if horses are featured or not! But probably not suitable for any younger readers.

Not sure why but the search word 'horse' always seems to bring up some kinky stuff!

Just a quick warning about the free borrowing of ebooks for Prime members that we were discussing earlier on this thread. You can only borrow them directly from a kindle device. If you try and borrow them from the kindle for PC app you will get charged! Also apparently there seems to be a 1 a month limit. Anyway it doesn't look like that great a deal considering there are so many free ones available to non-prime members, so not really worth joining Prime for that reason alone.

I found out cos I have a prime trial membership at the moment. Mainly got it to get some xmas pressies delivered on time but thought it may be useful to borrow some free e-books. I don't really think its worth it so I'll be cancelling it when its up.

Author Jane Ayres has kindly emailed to let us know that she is offering a FREE download of her new novella Beware of the Horse. She is not actively promoting the free download anywhere so we are the priviliged few who know about it. Link below: www.amazon.co.uk/Beware-of-the-Horse-ebook/dp/B00BEJTDUE/

That's a shame trixiepony. Is Amazon not available in Australia? You could try using a proxy server (if you know anything about them) as most of the web addresses on the proxies are from the USA. Even if the UK ones don't work you could go in thru Amazon.com and do a manual search for free kindle books.

Just a heads up on Amazon links out of country, sometimes ebooks that are free in the UK ARE actually available abroad, but the link to Amazon.uk doesn't work outside of the UK....you have to look the book up on your local Amazon site (Amazon.com or Amazon.ca or Amazon.au, whatever) to check it.
They're not always free at the same time, but I have got lucky once or twice, so it's definitely worth checking!

Thanks susan. Its probably worth doing your own searches anyhow as we don't always have time to keep this updated.
To search for the free kindle books on Amazon:
1. Choose kindle store from the drop down menu next to the search box 2. Type horse (or pony) in the search box 3. When the list of titles appears choose 'sort by' price low to high, the free ones will then all come up first
A lot of the books are only free for 2-3 days so its worth doing a search a couple of times a week if you have time.

What a coincidence - I only found this yesterday morning and downloaded it and was going to post about it, but looked back at some previous posts and saw that Haffyfan had mentioned it on 15th Feb. I thought about having it for my adult book, but decided to pick one of the Dick Francis books which I haven't yet read.

LOL.....great minds think alike! I hadn't spotted Haffy's earlier post (going back now to check the thread more carefully in case there are other goodies I missed!).
Re Dick Francis....you can't go wrong there, I don't think I've ready anything by him I didn't at least like, and I absolutely loved many of them.
For future reading ideas, if you like Francis, you might also like Lyndon Stacey....I thought Cut Throat, which is centered in the showjumping world, to be among the best non-Francis equestrian mysteries.
