I remember Why Don't You? It had Ant (as in Ant and Dec) in it.
Speaking of Ant and Dec, does anyone remember Byker Grove? Also when they (Ant and Dec) first had their music career you werent too sure which one was Ant and which one was Dec, but was sure which one was PJ and which one was Duncan? Now it's the opposite you cant remember which was one Ant and which one was Dec! LOL

Yep. And that's reminded me of Grange Hill. I also liked Please Sir with the actors who were about 25 but supposed to be kids

My parents didnt like me and my brother watching Grange Hill as they thought it was a bad influence - quite funny considering the school we went to in real life was much worse! ;D
Talking of actors playing kids, going back to Lizzie Dripping, the actress who played her was 20 and she was supposed to be 12!

Ok, time for the American to add her list. Most of the shows ya'll listed I've never heard of..... or was to young watch. I watched the Disney shows... Chip N Dale, Ducktales, Darkwing Duck, Gargloyes, Gummi Bears..... Love Disney. Sateruday morings I watch... oh dosh. I can't remeber what I watched. I remeber one about a puppy named Petey... loved it. Of course the Flitstones, Jetsons, Bugs Bunny. Every kid in American knows Bugs. Watched the Brady Bunch out of boredom... didn't really like it. Never watch Little House On The Prairie...didn't follow the books... I love the books.

Going back to Blue Peter. Did anyone make any of the stuff? I never ever found any sticky back plastic when I was a kid... Which presenters were on in everyone's day: It was Peter Purvert, ;D Lesley Judd, Valerie Singleton and John Noakes (down Shep!) when I was a nipper. Also watched the spin off show Go With Noakes ;D

I even remember Petra, lovely little Shepherd cross. For some reason the make that sticks in my mind most, not that I ever made one, was that weird advent thing with hangers and candles! I do remember making a Sindy house but converting it into a stable for my felt horses!
Have even just remembered two more faves, both still American, and both black and white! The Munsters and The Beverly Hillbillies!

Thanks for the clip rosie. I remember that - hilarious! ;D Loved the animals on the show, Petra, Goldie, my favourite Shep, Jack and Jill the lovely silver tabby cats and the various tortoises. It was nice that they encouraged kids to like animals and have pets. Found a great link which lists all the presenters and pets throughout the shows history. www.pubquizhelp.com/ent/blue_peter_presenters_pets.htmlHow could I forget Animal Magic. Grew up with that as an animal mad kid. Good old Johnny Morris! Then Terry Nutkins went on to present The Really Wild Show which I am sure our younger forum members will recall. Oh dear getting all nostalgic now for my lost youth!

I grew up with (Blue Peter presenters) quite a few:-
Mark Curry, Caron Keating, Yvette Fielding, John Leslie, Diane Louise-Jordan, Anthea Turner, Tim Vincent, Stuart Miles, Katy Hil, Romana D'Annunzio, Richard Bacon and Konnie Huq.
I also remember Really Wild Show. On the other side I remember Rod Hull and Emu, Timmy Mallet (especially on a Saturday, with Wacaday) and his Mallet Mallet (and when he had a crappy single!).
Also I remember the Broom Cupboard (when it was a broom cupboard!), with Edd the Duck and the Butler. Also on a Saturday there was "Going Live!" with Gordon the Gopher (and his spin off show) when he was living in some flat with Phillip Schofield. I do remember Orville the Duck, and Spit the Dog (with Bob Carolgees). Also on the subject of puppets, I remember Sooty, but with Matthew Corbett (who was a relative of Harry Corbett, not like the man who replaced Matthew).

Oh yes Sooty, how could I forget him and Sweep and Sue. I only remember it with Harry Corbett though. Has Crackerjack been mentioned? I hated that!

Loathed Orville and that creepy looking guy with his hand up its bum. Yep remember Sooty and Rud Hull and Emu too, used to find it hilarious when 'emu' attacked people. Rosie, I didnt like Crackajack either.
Has anyone mentioned Tiswas yet? And Swap Shop?

Forgot about monkey! It was really weird wasnt it, dubbed japanese. My brother and I used to watch it tho.
Another one I liked was the Mr. Men, oh yes and Mr. Benn too (didnt they show him in his skimpies getting changed or was that just some warped fantasy of mine? ;D)

Got a shortlist (which is actually very long!) to put on the poll. If anyone has any more to add please post them in the next day or two. May need to split it into 2. Why cant proboards let you have unlimited choices on the polls - would be a lot easier!

Just remembered them last night cos my friend and I were discussing the programmes (and singing the theme tunes) on the way to the pub!
Oops have I missed Basil out? I'll pop him in. Hmm I think we may need 2 polls with this one, maybe divided into older and newer programmes.
