I'm totally dying to know what Australian breed of horse is named after a cheeseburger! Lol it needs a bit of lateral thinking! The book is set in Australia but the horse breed is not Australian. Well done on all the other correct answers: 2. Salt Boy by Mary Perrine 3. Riding that Stranberry Roan by Marcia Sewell 5. A Horse for Sherry by Catherine Barr 13. Cider Days by Mary Stolz 16. Shrimp Harris by Colin Davy

Boom Boom! Did you also know that Basil Brush was co-created by the same person who co-created Bagpuss, Ivor The Engine and The Clangers?

No I didn't know that Garej I liked all those too ;D I have Bagpuss on DVD (and VHS), loved him too. Never seen Ivor The Engine/Clangers properly though (only seen clips). In 2004 in Wales, there was 4 adverts which were made by Smallfilms (and seem to be largely ignored because it's probably the last major work Oliver Postgate did before his death), for the now defunct BBC 2W. I found one on youtube, but there are more (I remember one where they actually showed a telly shop with an 1970s looking telly. The telly had the BBC 2W logo. You can see it in the background in the last pic of the second link). www.smallfilms.co.uk/ivor/bbc2w.htmAs for the Basil Brush/Bagpuss connection: it was Peter Firmin. As well as Peter Firmin being the other half and co-creator of most of Smallfilm's characters (I think the only ones which he didnt co-create were the characters in Tottie, as Tottie was a book by a pony author called Rumer Godden). When working for the BBC in the early 1960s in the children's puppetry department, he co-created Basil Brush, with another person called Ivan Owen. Ivan was also the voice and operator for many years of Basil Brush. Peter Firmin is also an illustrator in his own right (handy I suppose when you make animation), and wrote and illustrated early Basil Brush books (basically those from the 1960s and 1970s, and the first Basil Brush annual. I highly doubt that Peter Firmin is behind the 2009 Basil Brush annual). He also wrote and illustrated some books in the 1970s which were not based on any Smallfilms productions.

Hi all, I think a separate kids TV show thread is in order!
Back to the quiz.....
No. 27 the burger is a QUARTER pounder, thus a quarter horse. The answer is QUARTER HORSE BOY by Mary Patchett. Told you it was cryptic! But well done all, as it was the only one you didn't get.
