Hi folks I want to get the polls for the best and worst sorted out soon so if you have still to make any nominations please post them in the next couple of days. We need more lists of best overall v best loved/comfort read if we are going to have 2 separate polls for them.

sorry it took so long, I found it really hard to choose initially then place the books but think I have got there and can 'defend' my judgements ;D in no particular order (and I've made an executive decision that if a 3 in one is available then it classes as 1 book) best loved (and funnily enough Free rein is the only one here I came to as an adult)woodbury Trilogy Pony Club Camp (JPT version) A morgan for melinda Jill and the Perfect pony Black Loch Queen Rider Free Rein/Last ditch Janet must ride Kate and the Mystery ponies (sally fielding) I'd rather not gallop Best Written (only 4 I read as a youngster here and was in teens when i read darkling at that)Eventers trilogy (also a best loved to be honest and could replace most on above list bar woodbury books) The Stables At hampton (Gillian Baxter) The Maltese cat Minority's Colt (Glenda Spooner) Blue Rosette (PMM) Dream of Fair Horses/Fields Of praise The Perfect Distance (Kim Ablon Whitney) Taking Flight (Sheena Wilkinson) The Silver Brumby Darkling or Blind Beauty (can't decide which ) then I also had (I had to make piles on the floor!) The One Day ponies (Zita White) and Sundancer (Shelley peterson) which I didn't have room in the tens for but would very much have liked to include. They lost the best loved spots to the books I have read and read and read as a youngster and still enjoy each time i pick them up now, however they are still worthy of note.

Keep your pants on haffy. I'll include them all in the poll. ;D I might even let folk have more than 10 votes in this one as its so hard to choose.
Its interesting that the ones you consider best written as opposed to best loved you read teens and adult, similar for me. I suppose when you're a kiddiwink a lot of stuff goes over your head and you appreciate it more as an adult.

I didn't think we could consider this one, as it's really a short story from Day's Work, though it was published on it's own as well. Can we? If so, gotta go back and edit my "bests" list!!!

Apologies for not doing the poll yet folks. Its been a nightmare trying to work out what to put on the best overall and best loved lists, especially as some people didnt specify so having to put them on both! (Whose flippin idea was it to break them up into 2 categories anyhow....?!! ;D )
Also there are far too many to fit in single polls so may have to break them up into 2 parts unless I can find another way to do mega polls (maybe something elsewhere on the net lets you set up polls)
But I am working on it!

Not just you Rosie, it was me too - tbh it's all black and white to me, either I love it or I don't, I'm the same with most things!
