Now, bear with me, the OH reckons he can upload photos from my phone onto this here cr*p computer and you'll all soon be gazing upon the visage of my beautiful Q. horse/T.bred X Star. WARNING: he is not particularly photogenic and my camera is slow from the time I frame the perfect picture 'til the capture he has usually turned away, closed his eyes and looks slightly deceased. Cat is Finn, dog is Holly. Hope this works- PLEASE someome let me know! Attachments:

OK- looks like it only does one pic at a time. Will pester OH when he gets off the toilet. Unfortunately the digital camera broke and so I have to try and retrieve all those pics somehow, but I'll see if I can get any decent shots of work; problem is I don't think phone has a flash, or if it does I don't know how to access it. Anyway, most of the horses are away this weekend and I only have 6 to look after.

They are lovely Cally, and yes by clicking on the thumbnails you get to see them nice and big!

At last we see Star!!! He is cute and looks very gentle and friendly. Like the pic of Finn too he looks like he has been up to something! How did you do the pics? Did you add them as attachments? I've never tried that, I usually use photobucket or imageshack.

The part of my brain that interprets and stores knowledge of all things technical is, unfortunately, woefully miniscule, so all I remember is that OH plugged a connector thingummy into the phone and the other end into the computer, made a folder and uploaded the pics into it. Then when you get to the forum 'reply' page you click 'choose file' and the page with the files (finder, on my Mac) magically opens and you click on the pic you want, click choose, and shazam! it appears. Seems you have to have text in the message bit for it to materialise.
Is there instructions in the forum homepage for how to use photobucket?

Yes cally I put up some instructions for photobucket in the members info section, imageshack is easier still, I may do some instructions for that if I get a mo. However the attachment thing you did is prob quicker its just that you only get a thumbnail and cant change the size and stuff like you can on photbucket/imageshack. Never tried it myself I think I'll have to have a go now!

Poor you -- it must have been hard to leave the horses. Hope things feel better soon.

Thanks guys- you're right Sarah, I really miss the horses. They pop up in magazines every now and then so I've kept a scrapbook of cuttings. One of my favourite horse's sire died recently, Weltmeyer. His offspring were always a bit of a handful but intelligent and gorgeous. He was 27 so it was a fairly good innings.

Hope things improve for you. Give Star a cuddle for me, I reckon he'd be nice and wooly this time of year. ;D

Not sure if I have told you guys or not, but my beautiful rectangular brown dog Holly is dead. She went in for her annual check up and the doc was amazed at how healthy she was except for a limp, which had started 2 days earlier. He diagnosed a cruxiate ligament problem and next week after no improvement she went in for tests and surgery and they found she had bone cancer and had to be put down on the spot. Yet another devestating 'gift' for our family from life this horrible year.

Is so sad when they go. Non-animal people don't understand the pain we feel. . Must be hard for the kids too. Take care, hope things improve soon, and lots of hugs from the pumbles.

Thanks guys. It was such a terrible shock: thinking your'e going to pick your dog up after surgery to be told she has to be put to sleep now, especially as she had been so well up til then, just killed us all. The kids were with us and I had to sit outside with them while it was done- it was just unfathomable. We do have some good news- a new 9 week old pup called Lizzie from the RSPCA. So called because the morning I picked her up we went to see the Queen drive down the road to the Governor General's pad who saw her and smiled at her and pointed her out to Phil. She's lovely- the puppy is too,

Nice story about the Queen, glad you have a new pup. They keep you out of mischief! Hope to see some pics of her soon (the pup that is not the Queen!)
