Finally got round to buying a tiny sd card for my friends mobile phone to access some of the pics we'd taken with it over the past few months. Found some of this gorgeous horse who ended up sharing my 'power snack' (an apple) when out walking. As you can tell from my attire this was in the summer! The thought of going out dressed like that at the mo makes me shiver! Nice wee horse! Might well be a full-bred Clydesdale - there are such things as "small" ones!

Two years ago, I was thoroughly lost on my way to a wedding over on the west coast of Scotland. My stupid satnav had taken me up a road that was closed. However, I'm kinda glad it did, because: Lovely big Clydesdale stallion!

Another time, I was floating around West Lothian looking for the location of a horse I was going to look at to potentially buy. Anyway, I thought I was in the approximate location when I suddenly saw this big beast coming towards me! And he tried to get into the car! It actually turned out to be the horse I was looking for - he was a Clydesdale x Shire called Ebony. And he was gorgeous! Sadly I didn't get to buy him, though!

True. That's about the only time I was thankful for my satnav getting me lost! I did get to the wedding eventually - with about 30 minutes to spare!

Finally found the lead to attach mobile to laptop so I have managed to upload the pics of this gorgeous hairy chap I took on a walk the other day. Looks to be part Dales and part something else as he was pretty hefty.

Visited a place called Ormesby Hall yesterday. It has an old very ornate 18th century (I think) stable block which is actually a listed building and it houses the horses for the Cleveland Mounted Police. We had a peep in at the horses. The two big gorgeous boys in the foreground were called Alf and Reg ;D This was the stable block (apologies for poor pic) maybe it should be in the old building spotters thread!

Saw quite a few horses on walk with my friend yesterday but most too far away to take pics. Did stop to talk to this friendly little chap and his sleepy friend: Attachments:

Foals appearing on the moors now, I have obvious mixed feelings about this, but can't help gazing at them!

Well not great pics cos took on crappy mobile and it doesn't like the sun, but a couple of the ponies I saw yesterday out walking yesterday. We had to pass thru some fields of a riding centre to get to the footpath and they were full of horses. As luck would have it 2 of them were parked in front of the kissing gate we had to go thru. My friend is nervous of horses and was getting in a fluster over how we could get past. But no trouble as they were very friendly and easily moved and I had a 5 minute scratching session with the chestnut who was a real sweetie. I quite fancy going riding there to see him again. Anyway here they are 'guarding' the gate: And here is the little 'pally' skew, hard to see the very pretty colour with the bright sunlight.

Is that a big house in the background? Looks like a nice layout of paddocks, wonder if they do livery! ;D

yep thats the house that goes with the riding centre. Was so green with envy of the people who lived there as not only do they have all the horses but the views are amazing there.

I love seeing the driven horse and ponies, they all look so smart - makes me wish we could go back to the days when there were horses instead of cars.
Are the horses in the bottom 2 pics any you know or just spotted whilst out and about?
