OK just to be seasonal here is a special Halloween quiz for everyone!
How many pony books can you come up with that have ghosts, ghouls, witches or similar spooky characters or events in them? One guess at a time to make it fairer for everyone.
Prize is a pumpkin ;D ;D ;D

Well originally was supposed to be books with spooky things in them but you can also have titles if you want. I am too kind! ;D
I remember Night of the Red Horse was one of the mystical Jinny ones.

Yes, it was supernatural. A bonus point if you can think of another book (apart from the one garej said) which had a witch and a horse as main characters.

Oh bother Darkhorse beat me to it, I wanted to do Phantom, son of the Gray Ghost!! Now there is some modern series I read recently but which was not sufficiently 'stickinthemindable' where the girl kept seeing the ghost of her recently killed grey pony - I can't think what they were called though - am obviously going to have to go and turn the bookcase out! Otherwise there are a couple of Saddleclub (I know, Iknow ) books such as Stable Witch and the one where they see the ghost of the Indian and his horse. Oh yes, and the Jinny series had a supernatural side, especially Magic Pony.

Lol haffy with Sabrina the teenage witch! ;D
I'm being a bit sneaky with the pony and witch book it is not known as a pony book although it has a main pony character. Clues - yes haffy it is a rare book. It is last of a series of 4 books about witches, magic and animals. Its a great book if you havent read it yet. (that last wasnt a clue just an observation ;D)
kunuma you are thinking of the the Stacy Gregg Pony Club Secrets books.
I can think of a few more still so get your thinking caps on ;D

I've beeen looking through everything to find the story of the white horse on the island who turned into a horse skeleton when you got to the island, only to find it was some obscure translation from a Dutch tale! No wonder no one ever knows what I am talking about, I can't even give the book title, because that wasn't translated! But I think it had connections with the story of the headless horseman, (as in the Johnny Deppe/Sleepy Hollow one).

Kunuma I think you need to lie down in a darkened room for a bit ;D ;D ;D Ok haffy to put your out of your misery. Here is the book with the witch and horse in I was talking about. Let me know if its the one you were thinking of! And still on the spooky horse story theme here are a few more I can think of: (Titles) Ghost Horse on the moor The Black Stallion's Ghost Rescue Riders Ghost Pony by Peter Clover Mary Beth's Haunted Ride by Alison Hart (Ghostly/supernatural subject) The Black Stallion Mystery Pony Farm Mystery by Pam Kavanagh The Little White Horse by Elizabeth Goudge Moon Stallion (cant remember author!) Mig o the moor by Nancy Caffrey Midnight magic by Joyce Stranger Hound of Darkness by Joyce Stranger The Wild Boy and Queen Moon by KM Peyton Also in the White Riders by Monica Edwards the children dress up as ghosts in order to scare some nasty people as do the kids in Riding For Ransome by Catherine Harris!
