AFAIK Tamzin and Rissa being agents for the Silver Shield is never mentioned again either? I agree about Meryon being annoying sometimes. Someone on another site disliked his proprietary attitude towards Tam.
Going slightly OT now, I wrote a longer post about this before and deleted it because it was nonsense. Also think it was a bit mean of Monica to make Tamzin not very clever at school, unlike the others. Her habit of naming every single object seems odd. It's a shame Roger's home in Winklesea and parents are presumably never seen, don't think Rissa is ever seen at home without the others either. At least Meryon's house/parents appear at the end of the series. One of the many things I don't think ever appears is a Christmas scene in Westling. Not sure about the Punchbowl books. Don't.think there's ever any snow or ice either, that seems odd. Also like the fact that in the PB books you perhaps see a bit more of the children doing ordinary things such as tidying their rooms and making beds. The pace of the adventure in the Sussex ones is maybe usually especially frenetic.

Charlotte there was at least one Christmas bit in the Romney Marsh series which was I think in Storm Ahead. There is also a Christmas and snow in Black Hunting Whip in the Punchbowl series. I'd be interested if anyone can name any more.
Good point about the Agents of Shield (isn't that an American TV series lol) thing never being mentioned again.

Hi all just a quick heads up if anyone wants to read on from this book, the next book in the series READING ORDER is Strangers to the Marsh. Altho Hidden in a Dream the publishing order, Strangers to the marsh was written later to fill in the gap between the other 2 books. I don't have/have not read Stangers and was wondering if Rissa and Roger had miraculously recovered from their injuries in Cargo of Horses? Anyone who has a copy please let me know!

Thanks Charlotte. Thought that might be the case - probably result of Monica writing it a few years after Cargo. Just a slight continuity error lol.
