Lovely dogs I love labs and the terrier is so sweet. We have had dogs and cats together and they get on fine in fact the cat is usually the boss! Been sorting thru some old stuff and found a pic of Chime the Welsh pony I used to ride when I was in Wales as a child. She was absolutely gorgeous and quite big (she was a section D) luckily I was tall as she was the best of all the ponies at the farm and I loved her to bits.

Well I shall start pleading for a cat then! Shes gorgous and kinda reminds me of one of my old ponies called Casper. I think she has prettier markings though

Your dogs are gorgeous, Mysteryarab and what a beautiful pony, Claire. We currently have 9 pets- 2 gold fish, 2 guinea pigs, 2 ducks, 1 chook (all fairly old ladies now), 1 dog- a great dane/ridgeback/staghound/mastiff cross, and 1 cat.
As for cats and dogs mixing, introduce a kitten into your family carefully and you'll probably find that the dogs learn that it's a special animal that they're not to mess with. We've done it a few times (only with one dog, though) and the dog ends up 'sharing' their bed with the kitten and putting up with some extreme play! Holly's enormous and she thunders around the house after Finn, but there's no doubt that the cat's the boss.
I MUST learn to upload some pics!

mysteryarab she had a lot of foals not sure what year it was taken or which one of them was inside! But she had mainly chestnut fillies so odds on it was one of them. Prob have pics somewhere if I can find 'em! Wow Cally quite a menagerie! Its amazing how odd combinations of animals get along. I had a friend who had a cat and a mouse who happily ran around together. Also another friend who had a rabbit who...er how shall I say it...got 'overly friendly' with her dog

Lol to that rabbit! Lovely dogs and pony. I had a welsh cob too, also a chestnut mare but not the same colour as Chime. Like Cally I must learn to put the pictures on

Take our animal count up to 11- my eldest lad is inheriting 2 rats from a mate who's police officer parents have been posted to the Christmas Islands. Still 3 short of our maximum pet ownership period of 14 a couple of years ago. Desperate to add a horse or 2 to the family...

I love all these piccies of pets - more please. I'm trying to find some of mine where the animal is actually recognisable, what with an ancient camera plus my scanning skills - that isn't easy. Rats are great - they are so clever, though I think mice are my favourites. Used to have a whole room full - always wanted to get around to showing them, but never did. Much cheaper than showing horses!

Oh I like mice and rats too. Despite people thinking your a loonie if you like rats. Mind you could have done without the colony of mice that were living in my sofa bed in my dads garage, took a while to get rid of the pong!!!!
Had lots of hamsters and gerbils when young. They were always escaping and running amok chewing everything in their path. I will do some more photo hunting, got lots of cats, dogs and even the hamsters!

Not mine unfortunately - but these ponies live near my mum and dad's house in Cornwall - rather wild and untouched but I managed a quick stroke! Even better is today's discovery of a field full of horses very close to my house (photos to follow) - 2 bay youngsters, a roan, 2 mares and foals - again all a bit wild and frisky - judging by their feet they haven't been handled much - but all look in good condition and there is water in the field. The two youngsters were friendly and one of the mares and foals. However there was two kids using the field as a short cut at the other end to where I was and the whole herd galloped off to investigate - I've never seen kids run so fast!

Me at a show on Snowy- original name I know! She wasnt particularly pretty but she did her job well and look after me when I was small. It was only when I began to get older (7ish) that she would go crazy and try to buck. Guess she was sick of baby sitting! Not sure how old i was here.. 4 maybe? Who knows. I dont have any other pony pictures on my computer except..... about a million of this guy.

Oh puppy pics - wonderful! Good timing too, spent most of today trying to help someone realise that having a puppy means spending time and trouble, and that they don't grow up into Lassie or Rin Tin Tin without effort on the part of the owner!! One of mine!

Oh dear, I am looking after a poorly jack russell. This is Diesel. she decided to pick a fight with my alsation today and she is feeling very sorry for herself. She is too old for picking fights[11] but she is a typical small dog and thinks she is well hard!

Ooh whats she got in her mouth...looks like a dead rat!!! Hope she feels better soon. Now that I have worked out how to put videos on the forum thought I'd put on a vid of Rosie chasing her tail. The clicking noise at the start is her spitting at it! ;D (Not great quality but photobucket enlarges the vids and they were designed to be shown on a mobile at smaller size)

Oh my computer won't let me watch vid [computer says nooo] Yes it is a rat, she was very pleased with herself that day. She isn't as poorly as she's making out but she has never been one to let up an opportunity for extra fuss!
