Hi all, this weeks quiz is similar to the 'Riding Discliplines' quiz i did a while back. There are 4 categories of working horses and a list of titles which feature various working horses and ponies. You need to match the title to the correct category. There are 4 titles in each category. There are also 4 titles which feature working ponies which don't fit in any of the categories. You also need to identify the odd ones out and say what the horse in them actually does.
One answer at a time as per usual. Have fun!

I think everyone is correct so far. Acting I would count as the performing horses kunuma so goes in category D. Will update the op with the answers you've got so far.

Correct susan. Well people seemed to like the Riding Disciplines quiz I did before so I thought I'd do one along the same lines.

Doh! Guess who didn't read the instuctions properly ;D I thought it was a bit odd as Ben didn't seem to fit in with any of them because he is a farm horse, so I thought delivery pony was the nearest thing

Lol rosie, yes he's a farm horse. Mind you there might have been delivery ponies in it too - a while since I read it.

6 is an odd one out, too: Blitz is a firehorse!

2 is another odd one out, as Snowy is an barge horse.

Milkmans Cob and C?

All correct again - will do an update.
I enjoyed Blitz, it's a sort of Black Beauty type story but better than the average and the fire horse stuff was interesting. I also want to read Fire Horse by Diane Lee Wilson - if I ever manage to whitttle my large pile of books to read down a little!
But I digress! Will update to add the latest answers.

I think 19 is the last odd one out as Warrior was an army horse

13 Performing and pulling a cart??
|
|
|
Post by Claire on Feb 18, 2012 21:07:24 GMT 1
13 Performing and pulling a cart?? Yes he did do both come to think of it, but he was pulling the cart when the story took place so we'll stick with C Rosie you are correct with Warrior. EDIT - 6 left to go: out of these 3 feature pit ponies and 1 each in all the other categories. So if you are stuck you have a better chance of guessing right if you plump for pit pony ;D

A complete guess, but going from the title I'd say that number 10. The Dancing Horse would be D

D is correct darkhorse as the book features a performing Arab.

Another bash at 17, a delivery pony? Correct this time, altho he isn't actually a delivery pony for long in it!
