Well i tried to get both with a pony called Whiskey, or both with a book with rum in the title, but couldn't so one has got the Whiskey pony and one has the rum in the title. Does that make any sense??

No 11 I am thinking is it because the authors were better known as illustrators than authors? No idea who wrote the first one but I'm guessing illustrations will be a better connection than show ponies (my other possible thought) as the title of the first one doesn't conjure up images of a person connected with show ponies...unless of course Tumble did circus tricks too

Well done rosie and haffy, correct for 11 and 20. Was being a bit sneaky with 20 as A Horse For Cassie is also known as A Horse Called Cinnamon. The 2 authors better known as illustrators are Wesley Dennis and Anne Bullen respectively.
Only 4 more to get now....
