Hi all, a new quiz for you. This is a three parter. There are 9 colours, 18 horse's names and 18 titles of books. You have to match each horse with its colour and the book it features in. There will be 2 horses of each colour. To make things easier all the books are written by the PT sisters. Click here to playThe usual 'one guess at a time' rule applies. Have fun!

All correct except for Apollo who is described as being 'almost a palomino' in the book so that may give you a clue to his actual colour. I erroneously had him down as palomino on the website colours page too until I double checked!

Hmmm, well I think one is a trick question as the two chestnut mares in Friends must Part were Gingersnap and Brandysnap, but was one of them renamed Peppermint at one point?

No trick questions. In fact you can prob guess quite a few by their names if you dont know them. Kunuma you are actually correct in thinking that Peppermint was in Friends Must Part but she had nothing to do with Brandysnap and Gingersnap!

I'm completely guessing here...Sundance and Sundance saves the Day. Would the colour be Palomino?

Good guess rosie, he is palomino Actually, according to Julip, Sundance is a mare. I collect Julip horses and can bore you with pictures of my large collection if you like. I would show you a picture of Sundance but photobucket is down. [edit] It seems to be a bit hit and miss, hopefully it should work now:-

Just to say I have updated the web-page with the answers so far and the horses which have been correctly paired to both colour and book are now in pink.

Nice pic. Is Sundance a mare in the book garej? I can't remember its years since I read it! I dont think it is specifically mentioned, but when Sundance was featured in Julip's catalogues, it was always mentioned it was a mare. I dont have the book to hand to check though. Sundance was released multiple times, but always with Sarah. I also have the other horses mentioned in the book, if anyone wants to be bored by them is interested though.

Nope he's not dun, think of a colour which goes with a flaxen mane and tail I think I might have made this too difficult? I'll give out some clues tomorrow if people are struggling to remember.

Oh good, I was looking for it but no luck. Since that thread was first done, I have gotten tons of Julips since (I was taking photographs of 2 earlier on today), and the pictures have been redone in most cases (they were taken with my older camera & my newer one is much better all round). #
So I will update that thread, but bear in mind it will take me a good couple of hours (and that is the Julip alone!) and plus the fact I have to watch Merlin........

lol how embarrasing he's obviously pale chesnut ...considering I have a chestnut who is usually mistaken (in summer) for a palomino I really should have got that at least second time around

lol haffy correct ;D I used to ride one the same colour. Its a fine line between them and pallys!
Garej maybe we should start a new general model ponies thread in case other people want to add pics of theres? We could cut and paste yours in it maybe...or maybe link to the julip thread.

I think it will be a lot easier if I start an brand new one rather than trying to edit the whole one, then I can keep it small, but multiple posts.

Oh, then I know where she comes and she was a grey and I don't want to talk about it, as I remembered why I blanked it!

Ignoring kunuma's outburst ;D here are some clues: BRAMBLE - a Fell pony and is bought to represent a rare breed TREACLE - the clue to the colour is in the name JIMMY - 3 letter colour and featured in a book where ponies went missing TITBITS - her young owner's father threatened to send her to auction EASTER PARADE - the owner chose the wrong pony! LANDSLIDE - A nautical name might have been more appropriate to the book! TOMTIT - aka Nobby he was missing a vital piece of tack MIMOSA - kunuma gets picky about this colour this pony was part Welsh and in a book set on the Welsh border THE WITCH - an appropriately dark colour SNOWY - I am sure you need no clues to guess this one's colour! The book features an unusual equestrian pursuit FANTASY - one of the answers in my mastermind quiz! TOM THUMB - appropriately hard to see in the dark! Click here to play
